Requalify Cookie Notice
Effective Date: April 24, 2026 Last Updated: May 4, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how Requalify, LLC ("Requalify," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites at https://requalify.io and https://requalify.app (together, the "Site"), and in our cloud platform (the "Service").
This Notice is part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, web beacons, and pixel tags. Throughout this Notice, we use "cookies" to refer to all of these.
Cookies are first-party if they are set by Requalify or third-party if they are set by another party. They can also be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).
2. Our Approach
At launch, Requalify uses three categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required to operate the Site and Service (authentication, CSRF protection, infrastructure routing).
- Payment-processor cookies — set by Stripe on pages that show the payment form, used for fraud prevention and payment session continuity. These are strictly necessary for secure payment processing.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 on the marketing site (
requalify.io) to measure visitor traffic and page performance. You can opt out (see Section 4).
We do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (for example, Google Ads, Meta pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag);
- Cross-context behavioral advertising trackers of any kind;
- Session-replay or heatmap tools (for example, FullStory, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity);
- Social-media share or embed trackers.
Analytics cookies are set only on the public marketing site. They are not used inside the authenticated application (*.requalify.app), where Customer Data lives.
If we ever change this, we will update this Notice, provide the required choices, and update our Privacy Policy to reflect the new processing.
3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Site and Service to function. They cannot be turned off through our interface; you can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not work if you do. We use industry-standard cookie security flags (HTTP-only, Secure in production, SameSite restrictions) where supported by the browser.
| Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session — keeps you signed in after you log in. | First-party, secure | Up to 30 days |
| CSRF protection — prevents cross-site request forgery during login. | First-party, secure | Session |
| Login redirect — remembers where to send you after a successful sign-in. | First-party | Session |
| Infrastructure routing — keeps your requests on the same server during a session for reliability. | First-party | Session |
3.2 Payment-Processor Cookies (Stripe)
When you visit a page that displays our payment form (signup checkout, billing settings, plan changes), our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) sets cookies for fraud prevention and to identify the payment session. They are required for secure payment processing and are not used for advertising or profiling.
| Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Fraud prevention — detect suspicious activity across payment sessions. | Third-party (Stripe) | Up to 1 year |
| Payment session continuity — short-lived ID for the current payment session. | Third-party (Stripe) | Session |
Stripe is the data controller for these cookies. Their use is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy and Stripe Privacy Center.
3.3 Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics — marketing site only)
We use Google Analytics on the public marketing site at https://requalify.io to measure visitor traffic, understand which pages are useful, and improve the site. These cookies are not set inside the authenticated application (*.requalify.app).
| Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor identification — distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate reporting. | Third-party (Google) | Up to 2 years |
| Session-level analytics — session start, engagement, and aggregate event data. | Third-party (Google) | Up to 2 years |
We have configured Google Analytics 4 to:
- Anonymize IP addresses — Google removes the last octet before storing or processing.
- Enable Google Signals — for users with a Google account who have ad personalization enabled, Google may aggregate this data with their account history to provide cross-device measurement reports.
- Enable Demographics and Interest Reports — we receive aggregated, estimated age range, gender, and interest-category data for our visitors. No individual visitor is identified.
- Disable Google Ads remarketing and advertising audience features — we do not retarget visitors with ads or feed personally identifiable signals to Google Ads.
Because Google Signals and Demographics features involve Google receiving and processing analytics data in conjunction with its account-level services, the broadest reading of U.S. state privacy laws may treat this as "sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising." We provide three opt-out mechanisms (Section 4.1) so you can disable analytics on the marketing site at any time.
Google is the data controller for these cookies. Their use is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms.
3.4 No Advertising, Marketing, or Behavioral Cookies
We do not set any advertising, marketing, social-media, retargeting, or session-replay cookies. No cookies on our Site or Service are used for profiling, cross-context behavioral advertising, or "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
4. Your Choices
4.1 Opting Out of Analytics Cookies
You can opt out of Google Analytics 4 cookies on the marketing site in two ways:
- On-site banner. When you first visit
https://requalify.iowe display a cookie banner. Click "Essential only" to disable Google Analytics for the current and future visits. We remember your choice in a small first-party preference cookie so we don't ask again. Analytics operates on an opt-out basis: if you dismiss the banner without choosing — by closing it or continuing to scroll — analytics remains enabled, and you can still opt out later using either method described here. - Google's universal opt-out. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — a browser extension that disables Google Analytics across all sites you visit.
If you decline analytics, the marketing site continues to work normally. We just won't see your visit in our reports.
4.2 Browser Settings
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can usually:
- See which cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once;
- Block third-party cookies;
- Block all cookies (which will prevent the Service from working properly); or
- Set a preference to be prompted before accepting a cookie.
For instructions, see your browser's help:
4.3 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor browser-level Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. Because we do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, a GPC signal does not change our practices. When a GPC signal is detected on the marketing site, we additionally treat it as an opt-out of analytics cookies. We acknowledge its receipt in accordance with the California Privacy Protection Agency's regulations.
You can learn more about GPC at https://globalprivacycontrol.org.
4.4 Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Requalify does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because this is our practice, there is no opt-out to provide — but you may submit a request to confirm our practice by emailing [email protected].
4.5 Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use sensitive personal information (as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the Service. You may submit a request to confirm this by the methods above.
5. Other Tracking Technologies
5.1 Local and Session Storage
We may use browser local storage and session storage to remember your interface preferences (for example, which sidebar tabs were expanded or your preferred theme). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers as part of analytics or advertising.
5.2 Server-Side Logs
When you interact with the Site or Service, our servers automatically log information like IP address, user-agent string, time of request, URL requested, and HTTP status. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and service reliability. We do not use these logs for advertising, to build a profile of you, or to track your activity across other websites or services. Logs are not cookies, but they collect some of the same categories of personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5.3 Internal Observability
Requalify operates an internal observability stack to monitor service performance and reliability. This tooling is not a user-facing tracker, does not set cookies in your browser, and is configured to avoid capturing personal information from the Service payload. Any incidental personal information that appears in traces is treated as confidential and retained under the schedules in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to This Cookie Notice
If we start using new categories of cookies (for example, analytics or advertising) or make other material changes to this Cookie Notice, we will update this page and, where required by law, give you notice and an opportunity to make a choice (such as through a consent banner). The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Notice shows when it was last revised.
